Senior Data Engineer - Scala

Signify Technology is partnered with one of the world's largest players in the E-commerce and classifieds space that is currently looking to expand its Data team extensively in the following year.

Two immediate contract hires are required to join both the product & ad growth team before the end of this year. So if you are a highly experienced freelance Data Engineer looking for a new long-term contract working with clients on a global scale - then this is the next project for you.

12 months contract/High Hourly Rates/Remote Working Options

The Role

• Design, build & run production-grade Data and Machine Learning pipelines
• Plan & execute large scale strategy focused projects
• Work closely with cross-functional peers & stakeholders
• Be influential in architectural & critical need decisions

About you

• Several years experience working at a senior level in Data Engineering
• Strong commercial experience in Scala development
• Flink, Spark, Beam, DataFlow
• Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch
• Private/Public cloud - AWS, GCP, OpenStack
• Lead or Mentoring experience
• ML Ops

Nice to have

• Previous experience with Python
• BSc/MSc in related field
• Strong interest in Machine Learning
