Project details:
They are looking for a DBA candidate who is a subject matter expert with hands-on experience supporting SQL database. This role will be primarily focused on migrations/upgrades of existing databases and database administration for SQL database.

Responsibilities:

• Install, monitor, and maintain SQL software, implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup and recovery processes, provide system and SQL performance tuning, and assist in business process integration with various data sources.
• Fulfills user requests ranging from access control, backup, restore, refresh to non-production to performance tuning.
• Provides online & on call coverage for production support and administration of SQL.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL Database Administration/Engineering.
• Strong Python programming skill and be able to develop DBA applications for system automation and integration.
• Hands-on experience with Python multiprocessing, Django web framework and Celery Async framework is a big plus.
• Understanding of Javascript, Jquery and CSS web development is a big plus.
• Knowledge of AzureSQL, SQL on Hadoop, SYBASE, Oracle is a big plus.
• Experience in Financial markets & familiarity with financial applications is a strong plus
