Technical Data Strategy and Governance Manager REMOTE

Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Technical Data Strategy and Governance Manager. Candidate is responsible for the execution and implementation of the strategic data goals, including the achievement of the following: managing data-related risks across all functions; influencing and partnering with Divisions to help them mature their data management programs; and finding and driving efficiencies within the data ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will be an integral part of the newly formed Enterprise Data Office:
• Serving as a trusted advisor to the business functions, ensure data requirements are defined, communicated and well understood
• Using specialist knowledge and expertise to identify improvements through reducing data redundancy and driving data reuse with both internal and external data
• Participating in the development of a data governance framework with a focus on business process architecture and data architecture capabilities to reduce data risk and ensure compliance with data related policies
• Performing gap assessments and create recommendations for closing those gaps
• Proactively champion the value of information (data) as a strategic business asset
• Efficiently coordinating activities across the business and corporate functions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred AND 8-10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: BCBS 239 implementation, DMBOK, DCAM, data governance, data domains, master data management, data and metadata management, business intelligence
• 2+ years of management experience
• Experience with influencing others and bringing people together towards a common goal
• Communicate and present to senior management with an ability to operate at a strategic level to assess the maturity of the organization and to be a change agent
• Hands-on data experience which may include experience with Metadata tools (eg, Collibra), SQL or BI reporting
