Crisis Manager - 9 months contract - Brussels

One of our clients is looking for a Crisis Manager for a 9 months contract in Brussels. Day rate is negotiable.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Overall program management
  • Cooperation and interaction with the Businesses at all level - business owners, stakeholders, general Directors, etc.
  • Being deeply involved in the functional, architectural, technical, governance and operational activities of the project teams - mostly to drive the discussions and actions, sometimes to provide active support the team by performing oneself some actions
  • Driving the close cooperation and collaboration with the other ICT teams
  • Leading, organizing and supporting the project teams in charge of the actual building and delivering of the technical projects
  • Driving the budget and contracting discussions, and driving and performing the associated strategic and administrative tasks (procurement process, budget reporting, audits)
  • Analyze, Assess and drives possible partnership with external technology and services providers in an independent way in the best interest of MoFA
  • General ownership of the qualitative delivery of the projects that are involved in the Crisis Program


The program concerns taking over the follow up of a running strategic program dealing with Crisis Management.

By Crisis Management, we mean any worldwide event that would create a possible crisis situation involving people abroad or impacting the diplomatic presence abroad.

A related project contact center is also in the scope of this mission.

The ICT department is committed to provide technical means and tools, as well as support to the business teams dealing and involved in the actual crisis management.

The overall program embraces several projects aiming at:

  • Collecting, managing and integrating existing data from several sources and systems;
  • Providing applications and tools helping to better manage the communication with the citizens abroad and in Belgium during crisis situation
  • Providing a case management tool for registering, following up and managing all assistance cases during a crisis situation
  • Building up mobile solutions for the citizens for getting up to date travel information as well as allowing them to register their travel and their localization
  • Integration of all new and existing systems related to the communication, data and case management

This position is also open for part time fulfillment.
