Project Developer - Solar Energy, WFH, South-West England, UK up to 80,000

This is a critical role with a fully integrated solar development company operating in the UK and internationally.

The company has a massive pipeline of projects and is keen to bring high quality DNA into the company.

This is a broad and challenging role in a fast-paced environment offering excellent prospects for personal development and career progression.

About you

We're looking for someone who has excellent knowledge of the solar (renewable energy) project development cycle and the ability to lead a close-knit dedicated team and leverage wider relationships in the group.

You are comfortable being part of an agile team and working across project acquisition, EPC contracting and of course the project development and grid connection departments.

Ideally you are based somewhere in the south-west of England and able to work from the Exeter office, but for the right candidate there is some flexibility in location.

Main Responsibilities

* Responsible for the Pre-construction and Development team.
* Management of the data room for new projects.
* Management of design, planning and grid consultants' resource, external or in-house.
* Liaising with external stakeholders including the DNO and landowners.
* Management of the DD questionnaire process reporting into the legal department relating to project development, acquisition, and EPC, so that all red flags are managed and controlled.
* Coordinate with and support the Construction, Operations and O&M teams relating to planning and grid requirements, such as NMA, Section 73, planting schemes, watching briefs etc.
* Identify and implement development solutions to meet current and future needs of your department, focusing on process and systems.
* Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the industry.
* Using and maintaining the Computerised Development Management System and other quality management tools, as necessary.
* Monthly department board reports.
* Always look after the wellbeing of your team, staying abreast of all health and safety requirements.

Remuneration

This role is offered on a fully employed basis, with a competitive base salary up to 80,000 based on experience and value.
