The VP, Agile Engineering Leader will be a hands-on Technology Leader driving Lincoln Financial Group's (LFG) Agile Transformation program. You will drive our Agile Transformation effort at scale, owning and delivering on tactical execution plans. You will interface with other transformational leaders and initiatives within DevOps, Automation and Engineering Practices, as you guide waterfall-based teams transitioning to an Agile development model., * Lead the adoption/transformation for an enterprise agile implementation * Continue to develop our Agile transformation strategy and drive the supporting execution plan supporting * Hands-on leadership and experience implementing a scaled agile operating model inclusive of value stream orientation * Understands how to develop and implement an inclusive Agile strategy covering technology, HR, communication, recognition, tools, metrics and change management. * Present and evangelize the Lincoln Agile methodology to all leadership levels throughout the organization. * Lead the Agile coaching practice and transformation team efforts. * Must drive an agile operating model that is Lincoln-ized to reflect and consider our existing and future operating environment. * Work closely with key executive leaders and practitioners to gain full alignment. * Provide leadership and direction to delivery leaders adopting agile delivery practices. * Contribute to the organization's transformation efforts to drive an agility mindset. * Ensure agile operating model facilitates cross-project and program coordination and collaboration to ensure successful work effort delivery * Establish, evaluate and report relevant agile metrics to continually drive high quality delivery * Develop, coach, and mentor LFG employees to advance their skills in the agile methodology * Exhibit thought leadership across LFG in all facets of the Agile methodology through speaking engagements, regular communication and other activities that will encourage adoption * Lead any required Agile organizational transformations * Keep abreast of new and evolving techniques, methods and strategies in project delivery methodologies * 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required) * Educational concentration in Information Technology preferred., * 12+years of experience leading technology transformational change initiatives and enterprise change management, including 5+ years of resource management, strategy development and ability to influence all management levels * 5+ years proven track record in successfully managing agile projects or large scale transformational initiatives. Experience in Agile Coaching and Mentoring, Project Management or Project Development. Understanding the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development. * Experience with Agile practices (Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) * Ability to work effectively collaborate across the organization at all levels to remove barriers to the adoption of Agile * Effective communications skills (both written and verbal) and ability to understand needs and influence multiple work groups and high levels of leadership. * Ability to listen, understand, and anticipate the customers' needs as a critical component of the Agile methodology * Proven experience successfully driving and leading an enterprise Agile Transformation effort at scale in a technology organization. * Must be a seasoned leader that has practical hands-on delivery experience and possesses the ability to think strategically while owning and delivering on tactical execution plans. * Familiarity with other technical transformational initiatives such as DevOps, Automation and Engineering Practices. * Proven success delivering, supporting, influencing and guiding waterfall-based teams as they transition to an Agile development model. * Must also be a skilled communicator with exceptionally strong influencing skills at all levels of the organization #LI-KM1 This position may be subject to Lincoln's Political Contribution Policy.
