Data Warehouse Developer (SSIS)

Resource 1 is in need of a Data Warehouse Developer to join a team responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of extraction, transformation and load (ETL) routines for importing data from heterogeneous data sources into the data warehouse usingMS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Individual should have at least 10 years of experience in Information Technology and at least 8 years of data warehouse/SSIS experience. This is a very large complex, HA (Highly Available) environment that includes SQL Server 2016 databases and clustered columnstore indexing, so individual should have at least 5 years of experience working in a large EDW environment. Must haveexperience designing, developing, enhancing, and troubleshooting SSIS packages. Should also be knowledgeable in designing and implementing database schemas using Kimball/Inmon methodologies. The current repository is over 40 terabytes of data, 100+ packages and billions of records on stable SQL Server 2014/2016 databases, so should have experience with most recent versions of SQL Server/SSIS. Experience with C#/.Net is preferred to write scripts in SSIS. Will assist in designing/developing OLAP solutions using MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), so experience with SSAS and T-SQL development/tuning are plusses. Individuals will work with business SMEs and Data Architects to design and implement 3NF and dimensional data models. Individual will also be involved in Azure projects, so prior experience with Azure is a plus; otherwise, training will be provided. May also be asked to help define and implement standards and practices for data warehousing initiatives throughout the company. Selected individual should have an understanding of data normalization rules, denormalization and other techniques to support reporting and analytics.
Technical Environment: SQL Server (2014/2016), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), T-SQL, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Database Objects, Kimball/Inmon, database schemas & OLAP.
