Administrative Operations Support II Overview The Administrative Operations Support II is responsible for a variety of clerical support functions in a Branch Office. Incumbents in this position will be assigned to work in the Import department assisting with breakbulk and billing within the Branch. Work schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities Add new material to file records, and create new records as necessary. Answer questions about records and files. Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from authorized users. Perform periodic inspections of files in order to ensure correct filing, legibility, and proper condition. Scan or read incoming documents in order to determine how and where they should be filed. Perform general office duties such as data entry, and responding to emails. Perform other tasks as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED is required. Prior experience in the Freight Forwarding industry is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in administrative support related position is required Essential Job Functions Must have strong organizational and time management skills. Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must have a keen eye to detail. Must be able to take instructions and follow-through independently. Must work with utmost honesty and integrity. Must have good people skills and be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to present one's self in a cooperative and professional manner. Ability to read, analyze and interpret verbal and written requests and directions. Must have working knowledge of computers and be able to use office equipment such as scanning equipment, photo copiers, etc. Knowledge of Microsoft Office functions such as Word, Outlook and Excel is required. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations as they relate to the job. Ability to think through assignments and develop processes that contribute to enhanced organizational efficiency.
