The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day business and legal affairs of Live Nation Productions ("LNP")., * Structure, negotiate and draft a wide-range of complex above-the-line agreements, including but not limited to artist, talent, producer, director and writer agreements for documentary feature and unscripted television projects; * Structure, negotiate and draft a wide-range of complex development and production agreements, including but not limited to development and holding agreements, rights acquisition agreements, shopping agreements, production services agreements, and co-production agreements for documentary feature and unscripted television projects; * Structure, negotiate and draft a wide-range of complex distribution agreements, including but not limited to sales agency agreements, domestic and international distribution agreements for exhibition across all platforms (e.g., theatrical, television, internet, streaming, home video, etc.), and film festival submissions/agreements for documentary feature and unscripted television projects; * Coordinate with LNP production staff and production counsel to ensure production's compliance with contractual obligations, including but not limited to credits, approvals, budget concerns and technical deliverables; * Supervise departmental legal administration matters and devise and implement legal deal models and policies * Oversee award show submissions and ensure LNP compliance with award show submission requirements; * Advise on union/entertainment guild issues and non-union employment law issues; * Provide complex legal risk assessments; * Advise and resolve pre-litigation matters; * Remain up-to-date on relevant film, television, and new media legal issues, customs and practices to ensure ongoing ability to provide sound business and legal advice; and * Engage in other tasks as assigned., Live Nation Entertainment recruitment policies are designed to place the most highly qualified persons available in a timely and efficient manner. Live Nation Entertainment may pursue all avenues available, including promotion from within, employee referrals, outside advertising, employment agencies, Internet recruiting, job fairs, college recruiting and search firms. * JD required and active member in good standing with the California State Bar; * A minimum of 10 years' experience leading business and legal affairs at a studio, network, entertainment law firm and/or production company, particularly in the areas of documentary feature films and unscripted television. * Direct experience structuring, negotiating and drafting above-the-line talent agreements, development agreements, production agreements and distribution agreements for the exploitation of content across all platforms is required; a background structuring, negotiating and drafting agreements for music-based documentary and unscripted television projects is highly desired; * A comprehensive understanding of contract, copyright, trademark, defamation, right of privacy, right of publicity and non-union labor and employment law is required; * A working knowledge of music licensing and entertainment guild regulations (SAG-AFTRA, AFofM, DGA, WGA, IATSE) is required; * Must have excellent negotiation, drafting communication and interpersonal skills; * Must be able to work effectively and build relationships with people at many different levels inside and outside of the company, including senior executives, producers, artists, artists' representatives, other attorneys, and in-house and outside production staff; * Must be able to effectively advise senior-level executives under conditions of uncertainty and high-pressure and/or high-risk scenarios; * Must be able to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight deadlines in an organized fashion in a fast-paced environment; * Must be able to pivot quickly, think practically and be solution-oriented; and * A professional and confident demeanor, an upbeat temperament, dynamic personality and highly team-oriented approach to work is required., Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
