Provide leadership and direction to all finance, accounting and business operations at RRC.
Create, implement, and manage, in conjunction with RRC leadership on strategic plans to best utilize resources.
Advise the Director of RRC and VCR on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
Participate in unit strategic planning ensuring that the developed goals align with the organization's goals and contribute toward revenue enhancement, cost containment, maximizing revenue and research productivity.
Serve as the liaison to different units within the university related to finance and operations; effectively communicate and present critical financial matters. Contribute to the development of strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
Oversee, plan and provide analysis for all financial and accounting operations at RRC, including budgets, reconciliations, and projections.
Oversee financial reporting to OVCR and the Director of RRC and work closely with the OVCR, Budget Office and Core Directors to prepare projections, budgets and financial analysis for all the Core facilities at RRC.
Prepare all-funds budgets, analyze financial activities and performance against budget, make adjustments and take action as needed.
Ensure all financial processes are run efficiently and are aligned with University policies and best practices.
Oversee billing, accounts receivable, i buy, TEM and P-card program etc.
Master's degree in Business or related field required.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a finance and operations role, ideally in an academic research environment.
Significant and demonstrated strategic planning and financial analysis experience as well as strong analytical, organization and planning skills for complex business modeling.
Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Strong management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism and competence in dealing with a variety of individuals including faculty and university administrators.
Ability to develop, organize, and accomplish goals.
Ability to analyze/evaluate data and make appropriate decisions/ recommendations.
Leadership and management skills sufficient to effectively direct and develop faculty, managers, and support staff.
