The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of External Reporting and Compliance, the Lead Accountant will provide financial leadership by managing the international accounting and reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely compliance with all internal, external and statutory reporting requirements for operations across our International companies in Europe and Asia/Pacific.

Objectives of the role:
  • Provide financial leadership by managing the international accounting and reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely compliance with all internal, external and statutory reporting requirements for operations across our International companies in Europe and Asia/Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accounting, processing and analytical support for international accounting. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for collection, tracking, analyzing, reporting and reconciliation of international activity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Prepare and record required journal entries for certain international entities including daily transactions and monthly expense allocations
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules used in the preparation and completion of the month-end closing process
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions
  • Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to international processes and procedures
  • Prepare schedules related to intercompany activity, and work directly with the Parent company personnel to reconcile related activity
  • Acquire a deep understanding of the business processes related to assigned general ledger accounts, including transaction flow
  • Perform duties in compliance with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Assist accounting management on any and all international accounting related issues, including transfer pricing activity
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses and special projects requested by management
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum 6-10 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and stringent deadlines within a fast-paced environment is a must
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively work withmultiple departments
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel - experience in Pivot Tables and VLookups preferred
  • Exposure to international accounting required
  • Transfer pricing and/or international tax experience is a +
  • Strong attention to detail
