Under moderate supervision, the ERP Systems Administrator will support SAP infrastructure strategies set forth by Callaway Golf's Basis team. This position will play a key role in the implementation of SAP best practices and support the company's SAP global landscape strategy to ensure systems are managed and controlled per SAP's Best Practices. In addition, it would participate in ensuring quality standards are maintained while meeting business needs.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform medium complexity SAP Basis administration tasks as per SAP's best practices
Provide daily operational support for ERP production and development instances by monitoring and responding to routine processes and events according to established procedures.
Adhere to processes and control adopted by the team (Change Management, Audit, etc.).
Performed assigned systems administration tasks in support of projects.
Assist with system installations and upgrades (i.e., database, operating system, and application) within the framework and methodologies of the SAP systems landscape.
Assist with evaluation and design of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and subsequent additions to our production environment, including definition and enforcement of appropriate standards.
Perform daily system error log checking.
Perform systems management functions to include application level systems administration functions.
Follow and enforce Quality Assurance standards to deliver stable, reliable, and highly available solutions.
Provide assistance support to insure optimal stability, availability and reliability of global systems and infrastructure.
Provide recommendations regarding systems configuration management, troubleshooting and systems management methodologies and practices.
Use (fact-based) metrics to continuously improve on quality and efficiency of solutions and to validate business value delivered.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Basic knowledge of shell scripting in one or more of the following: Korn shell, c shell, PERL.
Good interpersonal communication skills; flexibility; responsiveness.
Moderate knowledge of SAP Basis area; support, monitoring, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance.
Intermediate knowledge of managing, installing, and configuring NetWeaver 2004s, R/3, XI, Portal, and BI servers in AIX or UNIX server environments.
Basic background in performance tuning and troubleshooting; utilizing SAP performance management tools.
Able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Intermediate knowledge in the configuration of XI, Portal, SLD, BW proxy connections, BI Functionality between BW and portal systems, XI system interface with sending and receiving system, SLD profile and setting up the SLD. This includes expert working knowledge of the central instance, database instance, Java for ABAP, Java Engine for Portal, Exchange Infrastructure, and Adapter Engine.
Basic working knowledge of configuring Solution Manager 4.0 functionalities.
Intermediate knowledge of RDBMS using Oracle and its relationships with UNIX and SAP.
Familiar with APO including managing LiveCache and MaxDB.
Familiar with SAP tools such as Central User admin, UME, Config Tools, SDM, Java Support Package manager, and Visual Admin.
Familiar with SAP Batch Operations: setup, configuration, dependencies, monitoring.
Moderate working knowledge and understanding of multiple aspects of SAP including R/3 4.X, ECC 6.0, APO, BW, SEM, SRM, CRM, NetWeaver, XI, Solution Manager, and Enterprise Portal.
Basic knowledge of middle ware technologies such as WebMethods.
Basic understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies, preferably VMWare.
Intermediate knowledge with the Netweaver Developer Studio (NWDI).
Basic knowledge of and hands-on experience with SAP Security functions and processes.
Basic knowledge and use of AIX UNIX operating system.
Familiar with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) systems, concepts, and procedures.
Participative teamwork and leadership style, advocate team-based concepts.
Solid knowledge of SAP memory management methodologies.
Able to work independently on day-to-day tasks, and with general instructions on new assignments.
Able to work extended or non-standard hours to complete required system support tasks, as needed.
Knowledge of ABAP a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in computer science or related subject, or equivalent related work experience required.
Minimum 2 years experience working in support of SAP, with at least 1 year in a system administration role.
