Purpose: To lead the development, sales and program activation for all local and national sponsorship programs for the Chicago Sport and Social Club, Dallas Sport and Social Club and the Social Sports Agency (collectively the "Properties"). The Social Sports Agency is an agency for the Sport and Social Industry Association, a 65-member association of social sports organizations located throughout North America. Role: Collaboratively work with executive management team and cross-departmentally to develop, sell and activate integrated experiential/lifestyle marketing campaigns that deliver measurable value to our clients and enhance the League Participant/Event Attendee experience. Supervise, direct and develop a current staff of one sponsorship coordinator and serve a leadership role for the Sport and Social Industry Association's sponsorship subcommittee. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & SPONSORSHIP SALES · Strategically develop, manage and close pipeline of potential partnerships, sponsorships and revenue-generating opportunities for Chicago Sport and Social Club, Dallas Sport and Social Club and the Social Sports Agency. Core platforms include integrated sponsorship programs, on-site activations, digital/social/database marketing campaigns and the creation/production of custom events. · Identify, develop and maintain a database of national and local brand and agency clients and prospects. · Prepare and maintain sales materials and customized presentations outlining programs for potential sponsors across all properties. · Manage placement of sponsorship/partnership capabilities credentials on all property websites including: chicagosocial.com, dallassocialclub.com and socialsportsagency.com; and media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc. · Nurture and develop the profile, presence and reputation of the Chicago Sport and Social Club, Dallas Sport and Social Club and the Social Sports Agency and social sports industry in the sports marketing industry. · Engage and communicate with members of the Sport and Social Industry Association to maintain an accurate database and sales materials to effectively sell the property. · Assist with and implement compelling social media content and networking strategies for the Properties. · Represent the Properties at industry, networking and association events; responsibly implement T&E budget. PROGRAM ACTIVATION & REPORTING · Manage client relationships and lead communication on an ongoing basis. · Communicate effectively with the marketing and operations departments of the Chicago Sport and Social Club, Dallas Sport and Social Club and Sport and Social Industry Association members in a Social Sports Agency program, defining and tracking all sponsorship obligations and entitlements (on-site activations, branding requirements, digital media entitlements, experiential marketing entitlements, etc.). · Coordinate and supervise proper distribution of all sponsorship promotional materials including but not limited to: logos, banners, table-tents, coupons, displays and other promotional materials. · Ensure that proper sponsorship-related materials are present and displayed at all leagues and events, including: staff apparel, signage, equipment, logoed print materials and any other relevant materials, in accordance with contractual obligations. · Manage and ensure the proper activation of all digital, interactive and social media entitlements for all sponsors. · Support event activation for all event-related programs; ensuring sponsor branding materials are clean, presentable and present for leagues and events (when applicable). · Manage the curation and organization or photo/video content for reporting and case study development. · Prepare, deliver and review customized campaign recap reports for all sponsors and partners, detailing the activation and results of their programs. Minimum Qualifications Education: Four-year college degree in Marketing, Communications or related field Experience: Five to seven years sponsorship sales, activation or relevant work experience Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics -Well-connected within the active lifestyle brand and agency/media worlds -Excellent emotional intelligence skills -Outstanding relationship-building and communication skills -Ability to expertly operate a personal computer, navigate Salesforce and manage social media content -Ability to instill strong relationships and trust with clients -Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner -Excellent presentation and negotiation skills -Knowledge of trending experiential marketing concepts and strategies -Commitment to develop and own all partner relationships from cultivation through activation to continuance -Comfort working in a relatively small but dynamic team culture, fueled by passion and creativity Requirements and Working Conditions Work is performed in both office and field settings with local and out-of-market travel required.
