Position Description:

This position focuses on data ingestion and reporting within the Digital Content Strategy group. Responsibilities include digital content performance evaluation, maintenance of customized interactive reporting templated dashboards and analysis/insights of social media content and trends.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong Excel skills to manipulate data to provide research and briefings on key social media platforms, updates and trends
  • Evaluate performance for NBA content across social platforms to help inform strategy
  • Learn to populate, design and build effective and high-performing Tableau reporting solutions
  • Publish and maintain customized interactive reports and dashboards using Tableau Server
  • Monitor data and API connections and communicate errors and findings to database solutions team
  • Provide competitive analysis of social content across platforms and use insights to generate strategic ideas and recommendations for the NBA

    Required Experience & Knowledge:

  • 1-2+ years of analytical experience
  • Advanced background and experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Detail oriented data background and exemplary analytical skills
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Exposure or experience using Tableau Desktop, including advanced calculations, visualizations, and knowledge of the practices and techniques of dashboard development
  • Knowledge of social media analytics, listening and measurement tools (i.e. - CrowdTangle, Facebook Insights, Spredfast Intelligence, etc.) are ideal
  • Ability to work within demanding timeframes in a dynamic environment
  • High attention to detail, design, and innovation

    Educational Background Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
