Machine Operator-Personalization 3rd Shift (Sun-Thurs 10:55pm-7:05am)


We are searching for an experienced Machine Operator-Personalization 3rd Shift (Sun-Thurs 10:55pm-7:05am) at our Asheville, NC facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Personalization Machine Operator ensures specialized information is printed on each card in the correct location and in the correct sequence. The Personalization Machine Operator may operate a variety of machines in the personalization production process. Responsibilities are primarily general machine operation, basic troubleshooting, and daily maintenance. This position will clean and prepare work area and machine for next workday or shift at the end of shift.

  • Prepare Machine for start of shift, which include necessary materials and paperwork
  • Perform duties necessary to operate machine and perform required tasks according to machine or position procedures
  • Complete simple, routine maintenance on machine to keep machine operational
  • Troubleshoot machinery for basic malfunctions
  • Complete all necessary paperwork required for machine operated on for the position
  • Clean machines at end of shift to prepare for next workday or next shift
  • Clean and stock work area in preparation for next workday or shift
  • Safely perform physical demands as indicated below
  • Work overtime and weekends as assigned by supervisor
  • Perform these and other duties as assigned bysupervisor or other appropriate management personnel

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

    *Note- Offer may be extended without Diploma or GED - Requirement must be fulfilled
    within 9 months of hire date.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Basic mechanical abilities preferred
  • Ability to differentiate color variance

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus and see colors with acuity

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in an indoor setting, but may be exposed to:

  • Variable temperature conditions indoor and outside (occasionally extreme heat or extreme cold)
  • Moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and dust and/or mite hazards
  • Moderate noise environment

Regular work days are Monday through Friday. First Shift hours are 6:55 am - 3:05 pm; Second Shift hours are 2:55 pm - 11:55 pm; Third shift are 10:55 pm - 7:05 am. Additional overtime may be required with short notice.
