Senior Technology Product Manager, Cloud Data Portability

Our Product Managers play a critical role in achieving our goals. They lead multi-disciplinary teams to define product strategy and develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward. Within EvolveIT, part of Shared Technology, Product Managers help drive our ability to rapidly migrate to and build on the cloud at scale.

Data is critical to our business, and as such, it is critical that we can move our data across multiple cloud providers in an automated, seamless and secure manner. The Cloud Data Portability Product Manager will be responsible for all aspects of product success, from product strategy and direction, roadmap, internal go-to market and product evangelism to accelerate adoption. Ultimately empowering thousands of agile teams across the enterprise to leverage this product for a multitude of use cases, ranging from backup and disaster recovery, to automating the use of specific services from a different cloud provider.

In this role you will:

  • Relentlessly push to understand user and stakeholder needs and ensures they are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions

  • Set product vision and lead road mapping, goal setting, story writing, project execution, market testing and roll-out strategy

  • Identify unmet needs and innovation opportunities and guide interdisciplinary teams to deliver powerful products to market

  • Test and iterate in small-scale pilots to validate concepts, refine them to achieve product-market fit, and then scale to drive enterprise adoption and operation efficiencies

  • Regularly and systematically use key performance indicators (KPI's) and other data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making

  • Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to orchestrate successful launch or optimization cycle

  • Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams

  • Establish or participate in Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean methods which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps

  • Regularly conduct competitive analysis of alternative solutions, evaluating their strengths and weaknesses relative to your own product, and identify any gaps to address or unique differentiators to strengthen

Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in and passion for building and shipping great products

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Creative problem solver who lives at the intersection of Human, Business and Technology dimensions. Deep fluency and experience in at least two dimensions and understanding of the third.

  • Blend of strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytic reasoning

  • Strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision making

  • Good understanding of the various data storage options across AWS, GCP and Azure

  • A data centric engineering background

  • Entrepreneurial ability to identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts

  • Track record of defining strategy, creating advocacy, alignment and being accountable for outcomes

  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization.

  • Agile Product Management experience

  • Fluency in human-centered product discovery methods such as design thinking and service design

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in digital product management

  • At least 3 years of professional coding experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into technologist facing digital products

  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management
