Southeast Tech, located in Sioux Falls SD, is seeking an experienced and dedicated faculty member for the Spring 2019 Semester to provide instruction and student advising to students in the Collision, Repair, and Refinish Program. RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand all aspects of the collision repair field to pass on knowledge to students through effective teaching techniques and hands-on lab experiences. Present course objectives and requirements fully, and communicate clear criteria for grading and evaluating student achievement. Maintain an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for our students by ensuring training aids, tools, and equipment are maintained and prepared for use in the classroom and lab. Build good interpersonal relationships, demonstrate respect and good judgement, and establish positive rapport with students and colleagues. Advise students and provide them with industry outreach internships that prepare them for entry level employment. Responsible for program: budget, review/evaluation, assessment, curriculum development, student recruitment/retention, and industry relations. REQUIREMENTS: AAS in Collision Technology and 3 years of applicable industry experience required. ASE and I-CAR Certifications, and working knowledge of computer software relevant to collision repair industry preferred. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office. Strong problem solving and documentation skills. Must have knowledge of and be able to demonstrate vehicle welding repair, frame repair, some car mechanics, prepare/paint vehicles, analyze/estimate vehicle damage and repair.
