Position Description:

The Electra Project Manager takes ownership of projects that involve design, development, and logistical organization through Electra product, creative and marketing departments. In this leadership role, the Project Manager organizes projects, creates timelines, updates statuses, and helps in planning and communications. This person keeps multiple cross-functional teams on target, manages scope and delivers the project requirements on time.

Position Responsibilities:

Long Term Planning
  • Works with all Electra teams in developing long-term plans and timelines for all Electra projects
  • Helps the Creative team level load and develop processes to ensures project success while maintaining the creative integrity of the brand
  • Works with the department managers/directors to develop project launch plans that help to ensure the success of long-term projects
  • Determines and documents project resource requirements
  • Communicates those resource requirements to decision-makers and gives recommendations
Project Planning
  • Works with the project requestors to understand goals, gathers requirements and establish milestones that will be used to align resources across departments
  • Determines project kick-off dates and timelines by working with department managers and
    team members
  • Facilitates project meetings from initial soft kick-offs to team update meetings as necessary
    during the project lifecycle
  • Tracks lessons learned and develops templates for future projects
Leads Projects
  • Ensures the on-time delivery of projects by verifying that team members are completing tasks on time and staying within the scope and parameters of the project
  • Keeps project status up to date via project management tools
  • Determines timing and scheduling for design reviews and tracks timeline tasks to ensure highest level of project execution
  • Ensure all project team members understand objectives, deliverables and timelines for all projects and that tasks are set to meet or exceed the project plans
Develops Teams
  • Frequently review teams' concerns and questions - helps to develop solutions as necessary
  • Becomes familiar with Workfront
Develops Processes
  • Works with the project requestors to develop processes for cross-functional project teams
  • Reviews process concerns with the project requestors
  • Communicates process updates to appropriate team members
  • Drives improvements in all areas of project management
  • Excels in the communication of project progress and status
  • Leads best in class meetings, including project kick-offs and updates
  • Build relationships with customers through frequent communication
Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge and use of the project management tool Workfront preferred
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Successful track-record in managing projects from conception through
    completion and implementation
  • Best in class organizational skills with emphasis on attention to detail
  • Experience leading small to mid-size cross-functional project teams and managing simultaneous projects
  • Experience communicating with all levels of a multi-tier organization, including
    upper-level management
  • The ability to work independently
  • Experience managing vendor relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Must be a team player
  • MCPM certification or PMP a plus
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally two to three times per year
