Regional Vice President of Sales

The Regional Vice President of Sales, West will architect and
deliver growth strategies and plans for the total available market,
setting priorities and targets for new and existing customer base,
both directly and through strategic channel partners. The RVP of
Sales, West will build structure and manage Western Region and its
initiatives with strategic partners.
The Regional Vice President of Sales, West reports directly to
and works in tandem with the VP of World Wide Sales to develop deep
business relationships with the market's largest current and
potential clients while developing and implementing short and long
term revenue growth plans.
Act as the front-line manager of an established, yet quickly
growing, direct sales management team and ensure, in turn, that
these managers effectively recruit, hire, develop, and manage a
tiered sales team.
Accurately manage, inspect and report in a predictable manner
on all aspects of pipeline development and forecasts for the
This individual will quickly onboard relevant market knowledge
and trends, including but not limited to evolving technologies and
their management, client needs, expectations and opportunities,
shifting competitive landscape that includes internal client
capabilities, and operational efficiencies.
Develop go to market plan for specific region.
Lead negotiations for large complex deals.
Work closely with leadership for other functions such as Sales
Engineering, Channel, Finance, Legal, Product, R&D and Marketing to
ensure efficient alignment to regional activities and to enable
optimum sales performance.
Drive results through the sales team by establishing sales
goals, targets, and forecasts, and ensuring that individual and
corporate sales objectives are met or exceeded.
Proactively identify, recruit, develop, coach, and manage
direct reports and support their selling activity.
Develop recommendations for growth, opportunities for growth,
and key target accounts in the assigned territory.
Develop and implement a consistent overall sales process, set
appropriate metrics for sales pipeline management, and use sales
force automation tools to effectively measure the sales team on
metrics relevant to outcomes.
Develop and manage key relationships with decision markers at
current and potential strategic partners to grow revenue and ensure
successful win-win partnerships.
Leverage appropriate internal resources to deliver value to

Develop and maintain a complete knowledge of products.

Verifiable success as a RVP of Sales, leading US West Region
sales efforts in a design-win model.
Deep knowledge of email and email security, experience with
SMTP, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC a plus
Experience selling and helping create a market for early
versions of products.
Optimizes direct and indirect channel strategy to align with
long term growth objectives and establishes and manages sales
quotas and goals for direct and indirect channels.
Global success evidenced by increasing revenue and market share
in North America.
History of developing high-performance sales teams evidenced by
skill development of existing resources, hiring and motivating
strong performers, implementation of sales tools and building an
enduring sales organization.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal business
partners to create and execute customer penetration strategies
consistent with product strategies that result in market share and
Track record of success managing a diverse, multi-tiered sales
organization including indirect resources.
