The Sr. Analyst, Reporting & Business Analytics is responsible for supporting Reebok's Finance organization and business leaders as an expert for the Finance teams' data topics, analytics, and technology. Within the scope of the reporting portfolio for Finance and stakeholders, the role will provide analytical support by dissecting and structuring a wide range of complex business problems, extracting and analysing data from a variety of sources, utilizing facts through data to derive a conclusion, and packaging the distil complex analytical findings into communications that are intended to inform and influence decisions making through data. Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with and influence business partners to create new, or modify existing, reports to meet the needs of a dynamic business, with emphasis on action-oriented data analytics which promotes decision making Continually seek out improvements through data and ensure our data platforms and reports are standardized and utilize adidas current best practices Apply business knowledge to ensure data is accurate, valid, timely, and clean Create and manage data and report distribution processes which are efficient, timely, and user friendly Identify opportunities to streamline processes through current BI, DBMS, and Data Architecture Partner with IT to ensure optimum data availability and stability Collaborate with IT on reporting solutions and issues regarding data transfer, storage, and retrieval Implement latest technology and best practices regarding data architecture, modelling, and availability Build partnerships and idea sharing with our Global (HQ), NAM IT partners Lead and participate in cross functional projects as required Partner with 3rd party vendors and other outside partners Be a data change-agent Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proven success in creating and maintaining databases, data integrity, data flow, and data storage in an enterprise database management system Expertise in creating reports and analysis that directly impact decision making at the senior management level Skilled in leading influential projects with peers, business partners, and senior managers Ability to effectively present information both orally and in written form and respond to questions from senior management , managers, stakeholders, cross functional business leaders and peers Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the following areas:
BI Tools MicroStrategy Data Exploration & Visualization Tools Data Architecture & Modelling concepts Structured Query Language (SQL) Ability to troubleshoot and define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to find a solution Ability to think cross functionally, join data from various sources and draw meaningful conclusions/develop innovative solutions Demonstrated analytical and financial modelling skills, and comfort with Finance and Accounting principles Must be able to work in a fast paced, fun, challenging group environment Ability to work independently under little guidance on several projects simultaneously and be self-directed while working under tight deadlines Passion for all things data Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):
Four-year degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, concentration in one of the following, Business, MIS, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent relevant job experience MBA, CP or CMA preferred 5-7 years direct experience Proven experience in several of the following areas: data analytics, data wrangling, database management, finance, and information technology Advanced Excel skills required Good understanding of retail math, and key business drivers preferred Understands data visualization and exploration concepts, and how to tell stories through data The Reebok brand has moved their HQ to a 220,000 square-foot section of the Innovation and Design Building in Boston's Seaport District.
