Field Marketing Manager Position Summary:
Responsible for developing and strengthening NHRA Member Track and sportsman racing programs. Position will work with various departments within NHRA, including the NHRA Division offices, on initiatives and special projects. Provide overall support to the NHRA Field Marketing Department. Essential Functions:
1. Identify opportunities and implement programs to strengthen NHRA's relationship with the NHRA Member Track Network. 2. Develop and administer promotional programs for the Lucas Oil sportsman series. 3. Develop and administer programs to help grow the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League. 4. Serve as a liaison with all NHRA departments providing support to Field Marketing including Division offices, marketing, field operations, communications, competition, publications, membership, and social media. 5. Research/analyze NHRA current situation as it relates to member tracks and grassroots racing. 6. Develop various marketing/media materials. 7. Assist with day to day function of the Field Marketing department. 8. Produce media/press releases. Other Responsibilities:
Perform other work-related duties as assigned Education, Experience and Skills Required:
1. Bachelor degree required, preferably in Marketing / Communications 2. 2-3 years related experience. A background in motorsports is highly desirable 3. Strong written, verbal, creative and interpersonal skills 4. Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines 5. Must be able to work independently 6. Proven ability to produce marketing / media materials 7. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point and social media 8. Some travel and a minimum of 5 weekends required 9. A strong customer service orientation Physical Requirements of the Job:
1. Must be able to work outdoors for prolonged periods (10-12 hrs.) in extreme heat or cold 2. Must be able to travel nationwide 3. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
