Job summary:

Oversees the course location's day-to-day accounting, payroll, and human resource functions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises all accounting and reception staff with regard to accounting and finance procedural requirements ensuring accuracy and timeliness of location's financial reporting
  • Maintains facility payroll and time keeping data bases processing personnel changes and bi-weekly payroll
  • Maintains the membership data base for member billing
  • Assists General Manager by ordering office supplies as required, and assuring all month end financial entries, reports, and schedules required by a corporate office are completed and submitted on timely basis
  • Facilitates accounts receivable collections through phone calls and letters
  • Maintains location information systems and resolves hardware/software issues with assistance of corporate Information Technology function
  • Helps General Manger prepare annual budgets

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • May interview, hire, train, supervise, evaluate and discipline staff hired to perform accounting functions
  • Ensures all internal controls are maintained and company accounting policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Implements and supports all American Golf initiatives and programs as requested by management
  • Other duties may be assigned by management

    Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, JD Edwards experience a plus
  • 2 years accounting/finance experience, including monthly reporting and general ledger management
  • Well versed in computer based accounting systems, Internet applications and Windows operating environment with ability to operate computer, calculator, fax, copier, and telephone
  • Familiar with management of a timekeeping system, preferably Kronos
  • Good time management, organization, prioritization and leadership skills
  • Ability to produce financial statements under tight month-end deadlines
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and management
  • Must be fluent in English
  • A valid driver's license is required
