What you'll do on a typical day: Identify, analyze, and deliver project-based results to support new initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities in transportation operations Prepare documentation pertaining to account requirements and update as needed to meet changes in customer requirements and processes Interact daily with internal and external customers to ensure expectations are being met, collect customer requirements, and to review progress Explain/train/educate others on transportation moves and costs for projects under management and attend weekly meetings to keep functional leads, management, and stakeholders updated on current projects and timelines Perform both written and verbal logistics and transportation reporting for various projects and initiatives Learn and apply lean concepts such as A3s, value stream maps, kaizen events, and 5S What you need to succeed at XPO: At a minimum, you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Logistics Management, or related field 1 year of experience in direct operations, logistics engineering, consulting, or supply chain startup, or equivalent education Ability to solve complex problems while clearly documenting the assumptions, logic, work steps, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications; ability to create complex formulas in MS Excel, and quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications Availability to work a flexible schedule including occasional travel It'd be great if you also have: Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Management Experience with ILOG, Supply Chain Guru, CAPS, or data modeling Solid aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources Excellent interpersonal and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and get along with diverse personalities Ability to develop insightful, value-added, and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations Strong project and time management skills with ability to multitask and manage customer expectations Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience Be part of something big.
