What you'll do on a typical day: Work with corporate leadership to ensure HR programs and initiatives are enhancing the delivery of business results and make recommendations to HR leadership to align initiatives with business needs Lead organization change management to evolve teams to deliver business results; assess location needs and recommend strategies and execution plans to meet organizational, people, and business needs Enable leaders to effectively lead their teams by providing clear goals, tools, resources, and feedback mechanisms Partner with the business and compensation in the design and delivery of various variable compensation programs for lines of business supported Provide input to the talent team in developing strategic workforce plans, and recruitment and retention strategies; provide support in selection activities for all hourly and salaried positions Partner with training in the identification and execution of various training initiatives Collaborate with HR team to implement consistent and thorough onboarding and orientation of all employees; create and implement initiatives in all HR areas including talent, recruiting and selection, and benefits, compensation, and training What you need to succeed at XPO: At a minimum, you'll need: Bachelor's degree in business management, HR, or related field 8 years of HR experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project) ability to create complex formulas in MS Excel It'd be great if you also have: Risk Management experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience; compose thorough and detailed technical documentation, procedures, manuals, etc. Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources, and develop, recommend, and implement solutions Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach, and influence employees Ability to utilize a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures Be part of something big.
