Job Description: We are currently seeking Full-Time Ocean Export or Import Customer Service Specialists to join our team in Crystal Lake. Candidates with Accounting and/or Ocean Export Customer Service experience is preferred, but we are always willing to train the right individual. Duties Include: Generating and Preparing Quotes for Clients in a timely manner Customer Retention through consistent follow-up and feedback to our clients Arranging for door pick-ups with truckers Arranging and communicating Bookings with Carriers Ensuring cargo loaded and returned to ramp/port within shipment s requirements Building and maintaining client, carrier and trucker relationships Collecting Customer Documents for Ocean Export Shipments Ensuring accurate and compliant documents Filing shipment data with US Customs (AES through ACE) Preparing bill of lading details Submitting MBL Instructions to SSL Providing Proof Copies to Shippers and Agents Ensuring all data is accurate - Questioning data that is inconsistent Billing freight charges to account Collecting and attesting all final documents Release of original documents (as necessary) Sending Pre-Alert to Destination Offices Scanning and Closing Files Internally Ensuring all shipment and document-related issues are resolved in a timely manner Skills Required: Attention to Detail Strong Organizational & Communication Skills Ability to clearly communicate daily with Customers and Agents Excellent Follow-Up Skills Please Apply Below!
