The Vice President of Human Resources for Manufacturing is responsible for the creation of the HR long-term strategic direction and vision to ensure successful policies of attracting, recruiting, developing, training, motivating and engaging people for the North America Manufacturing function. In addition the VP partners with Group VP of HR and Manufacturing Human Resources Directors to anticipate and optimize the organizations people needs to align with the overall Operation North America business strategy.. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:. -Serve as HR Business Partner to Group VP of HR and North America Manufacturing , including the Open Manufacturing and Quality team clients in achieving their business goals and objectives.. -Partner with Manufacturing HR Directors, for 5 Manufacturing Plants and facilitate recruitment/staffing of Senior Management Americas' North America Manufacturing positions.. -Partner and chair weekly/bi-weekly conference call to review Manufacturing openings and possibly share candidate. -Interview all Manufacturing final candidates for Manager and above levels. -Provide Generalist support for Operations North America Manufacturing staff. -Employee development - Oversee employee development strategy and allocation of resources, anticipate organizational business needs, and lead and challenge employee professional growth opportunities.. -Manage the Manufacturing Management Pepiniere Program. -Serve as a resource to the Manufacturing HR Directors with regards to employee relations and legal/regulatory matters impacting the Manufacturing workforce. Experience. -10+ years of demonstrated success as an HR professional at a global Consumer Goods, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical or Technology businesses with 3 years at a Senior HR Level. -BA/BS degree. Masters level education (MS, MBA) preferred. -Proven ability to build and manage a remote HR department in North and South America to consistently deliver and perform. -Experience in corporate-wide initiatives designed to develop and foster a dynamic corporate culture. -Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail with strong planning skills. -Strong relationship building, customer service, communication, presentation. Organization and negotiations skills also required. -Demonstrated effectiveness in coaching and developing talent (across the organization) into a high performing team. -Must have a sense of urgency and service orientation with a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness. -Strategic thinking - In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and trends (i.e. recruitment strategies, people assessment, career development and management, etc.). -Creative, self-motivated, team player with the ability to build consensus and work well with all personality types. -Strong employee relations knowledge and background. -Legal- Significant understanding of employment laws and statues pertaining to equal opportunity. -Compensation - In- depth understanding of policy and concepts, along with ability to articulate same. -Experience with US, Latin America, Canada and Mexico practices and requirements. -Proficient in Applicant Tracking and HRIS software, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office. -Willing to travel as needed to implement strategic HR initiatives.
