The Center for Rehabilitation Medicine offers an opportunity for a dynamic, team oriented Physical Therapist. Our 36-bed CARF accredited Rehabilitation Unity has been providing care for over 30 years. Specialty programs include stroke, spinal cord injury, NICU and therapeutic pool.

The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients of varying diagnoses and disorders requiring PT. Will develop, implement and modify treatment plans for patients ranging in age from adolescent to geriatric. The department offers a multi-level career ladder with strong education and mentoring programs.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • California PT license (or license eligible)
  • AHA CPR card. New grads welcome. None
  • Treatment of neonatal patients requires specialized training and the following on-site education will be demonstrated:
  • a. Didactic and hands on evaluation and treatment with a neonatal trained therapist.
  • b. Demonstrates competency in use of neonatal specific equipment.
  • c. Six month employment at NHMC.
  • d. Demonstrates appropriate inter-personnel skills to treat the neonatal population.
  • e . If employee has six months previous experience with the neonatal population, on-site education will be reduced if above competencies can be demonstrated
  • Clinical Instructor training prior to assignment of a full time student required
  • Current California licensure required. Recent graduates who are board eligible will be considered for provisional appointments
  • Current CPR and Fire Safety cards required
  • Therapists will apply and obtain CCS paneling once one year equivalent of pediatric experience is obtained.
