Sodexo at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a motivated, skilled professional Executive Chef with solid culinary management experience preferably in a hospital environment, food production experience, computer literacy, full HACCP knowledge and ServSafe Certification.
The ideal Executive Chef candidate will possess the following skills / attributes:
- Experience with At Your Request (AYR) - room service patient dining or similar food service programs
- The ability to effectively communicate with a diverse staff
- The ability to train and develop a staff of 15
- Solid time management skills with the ability to meet project due dates
- Hands on leadership skills
- Flexibility to work a schedule that will include some weekend, holidays or evening shifts
Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
-Executes the culinary function
-Customer & Client satisfaction
-Manages food & physical safety program.
