Sodexo is seeking a compassionate and results-oriented General Manager 5 - Patient Services to drive and enhance patient experience at Carolinas HealthCare System - Main_ located in Charlotte, NC.

Carolinas HealthCare System - Main (Carolinas Medical Center) is an 800 bed hospital and serves as the flagship facility for Carolinas HealthCare System.

The General Manager 5 - Patient Services provides local leadership and strategic direction to patient services team, building relationships, achieves guest satisfaction and enhances profitability. This key leadership role will direct business practices to uphold company mission and values. Maintains, develops and implements solutions to attain patient satisfaction and effective day to day operations._

Responsibilities:

  • Provides team leadership by ensuring cohesiveness at the unit and with the client
  • Oversees expenditures to control unit financials
  • Directs daily food service operations to provide quality products
  • Maintains and implements sanitary and food safety conditions and training to adhere to auditing procedures and statutory regulations
  • Develops a patient service business plan that establishes goals, needs and expectations
  • Accountable for the execution of product and service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery
  • Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives _Duties
  • Subject matter expert and lead for the patient service program. implementation, monitoring, and auditing of nutrition and patient service program standards and practices.
  • Works with operations constituents in areas relating to, culinary management, people management, process development, implementation and consistency through auditing procedures.
  • Prepare plans for projects or major assignments (e.g., tasks, resources, time frames).
  • Provides information, monitors, and educates operations teams of current Sodexo and industry program information and practices to support implementation and effective programs in the operations.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and support relating to the standards and practices for patient and clinical services.
  • Perform inspections and audits to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of standards and other regulatory requirements, as well as with Sodexo's templates and standards for patient satisfaction.
  • Visit inspect and audit patient floors providing objective feedback based on operational standards.
  • Recommends changes in operations based on standards, identify appropriate resources, and assist in implementation plans.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and support relating to the standards and practices for patient and clinical services.
  • Establish and/or implement standards for client satisfaction, and monitor performance against those standards.
  • Ensures compliance with the Sodexo template for services, as well as related regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure nutrition resources are current and meet regulatory, market, client, and practitioner need.
  • Plan and coordinate nutrition networking and training opportunities for dietetic professionals, including client updates.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the Segment relating to standards and practices for patient services.
  • Identify and clarify internal/external customer needs and expectations, taking actions to ensure that Sodexo and client goals are aligned and met.
