Overview/Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Group Sales Manager with key responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

Cultivate business in the Corporate Market with primary vertical markets of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare.

Able to quickly and timely respond to incoming leads, requests for proposals, walk-in clients by effectively managing all aspects of communication to secure groups on a definite basis.

Engage and entertain potential clients by providing a WOW site experience that fully promotes the services and features of the hotel and sells against the competition.

Negotiate contracts in the best financial interest of the hotel ensuring that all pertinent details of the booking are completely captured and documented

Communicate and work closely with all departments to ensure that the guest specifications are met and that satisfaction is not only met but to exceed expectations

Confidently represent the hotel by maintaining high visibility and positive relations through networking in local business and professional organizations

Engage in Strategic Planning for assigned markets and measure success through Sales Performance Reporting

Must meet or exceed assigned production goals and activity goals (prospecting, sites, outside calls and maintenance) of the position



The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business and meet client needs. This position may require occasional travel for client visits, solicitation and training. This person must be a team player who demonstrates creativity, out of the box thinking and a good sense of humor to aid in the sales process. Must have good business acumen and maintain strong ethics and integrity in all aspects of conducting business. The ability to listen, speak and write in English and to ascertain information effectively to respond to clients is a must. Independent, high energy, entrepreneurial Sales professionals will excel. Knowledge of hotel structure and how all departments interact is a plus. A minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience required. Prefer current/functioning knowledge of the use of CI/TY and Knowland . Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
