We are recruiting a Regional Diretor of Engineering for a For Profit Healthcare System for 6hospitals and approximately 150 clinic locations.

Will report to the Executive Director Facioities Management & Ops support.

The Regional Director of Engineering is responsible for leading the operations of all engineering, maintenance, facilities, and internal construction services .

Responsibilities include financial performance and reporting, human resource management, safety, quality, and planning for multiple hospitals and approximately 150 clinic locations.

This is the top level facilities position.. This position is responsible for the direction of high quality and cost-effective maintenance and engineering services.

Work situations are varied and require a high level of managerial leadership, analysis, independent decision-making, discretion, good judgment, and organization.

Internal contacts are at all levels and require the establishing rapport and developing strong working relationships. External contacts include outside organizations, vendors, contractors, governmental and regulatory agencies, and consultants.

Must have the mindset of a Healthcare Executive.

Oversight engineering, operations, environment, linen services, etc.

Budgeting, finance, forecasting, RFPs, capital equipment purchasing, staffing, service delivery, policies and procedures,multiple union environment, etc. etc.

Vision is expand and advance the Engineering Department

Must have knowledge and expereince of JACHO regulations.

Salary $145,000-$160,000 plus 10% Incentive.

MUST HAVE MULTI SITE HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE

Population 212,000. Located 35 miles Southwest of Seattle and 30 miles Northeast of Olympia. 60 miles to Mount Rainer National Park! 3 hours to Portland.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of the principles of facilities management in order to effectively analyze data and make decisions

Knowledge of regulations affecting healthcare facilities

Skill in directing the work and activities of staff with the ability to delegate effectively

Skill in providing leadership and in the mentoring of staff

Skill in time management and ability to meet deadlines

Skill in creating high-performing teams

Ability to establish a climate that achieves optimal performance levels

Ability to establish and maintain a cohesive work team

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Ability toaccept responsibility willingly

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to set priorities and use good judgment

Ability to be caring, sympathetic, calm, and able to work as part of a team

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field required

MBA, MHA or other related degree

Eight (8) years of technical experience working in any combination of regulatory compliance, contract administration, routine capital construction, and/or engineering for various equipment systems found in a hospital setting.

Prior engineering and leadership experience in an integrated healthcare system.

Five (5) years of management or supervisory experience with budget responsibility
