The Lab Support Manager will work in collaboration with both CIC Leads and University of Miami support partners, taking responsibility for managing the general operations of the private lab spaces and ensuring the overall safety of the community. • Liaise between CIC, University of Miami, and building management to ensure facility safety requirements and building guidelines are met for laboratories.

  • Organize and manage laboratory compliance audits.

    Management of Labs:

  • Oversee laboratory safety and ensure that the laboratory remains in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. In cases where non-compliance is found, document the instances as well as how they were abated.

  • Manage and update chemical inventories and/or Risk Group Agent inventories.

  • Assist CIC staff in communicating and enforcing laboratory safety rules and ensure client compliance.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment performance by establishing quality standards.

  • Develop operations, quality, and troubleshooting procedures.
