Spring 2019 PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA INTERNSHIP Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation (Philadelphia, PA) REPORTS TO: Human Resources Coordinator DURATION: Spring 2019 Semester: Part-Time Availability Summary: The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation uses the sport of hockey to foster academic and personal excellence among at-risk students in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ. The Communications Intern will directly assist the Snider Hockey Communication & Program Support team with projects related to capturing and editing images from Snider Hockey programs and high profile events. This position is open to students looking to gain well-rounded experience and exposure in the field of communications, photography, and graphic design. Internship is conditional on the successful completion of a background check and availability provided during the interview. Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Capture photos and videos of Snider Hockey students during regular programs and special events to utilize for marketing and communication materials.
  • Edit photos and videos to ensure high quality of materials.
  • Responsible for scheduling and organizing specific photoshoot needs.
  • Assist with graphic design projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • College sophomores, juniors, or seniors working for earned credits or extra resume experience.
  • Experience with owning and operating a DSLR camera or similar high-resolution camera.
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with photo/video editing software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidates should be highly motivated to learn and must have attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Housing and transportation are the responsibility of the student. Pay Status: This is an Unpaid Internship.
