Global Brand Merchandising Operations As a Merchandising Information Coordinator (MIC), you will play a key role within the Merchandising Operations team as well as the Global Brand Merchandising team through accurate input and maintenance of all merchandising line plan data and timely communication of all updated information between the Global and Geo Merchandising teams as well as other key cross functional partners. You will manage data across multiple systems and develop an understanding of the seasonal strategies, segmentation offence and assortment process that will help land the Converse vision in the marketplace.
You will have the opportunity to drive issue resolution and process improvements by being a point of contact for questions with cross functional partners. As an MIC, you will help to identify and resolve merchandising data inaccuracies and threats to execution and will be relied upon to help implement and drive best practices within the Merchandising Operations team. You will participate in seasonal and ad hoc meetings as a process excellence resource to drive the Converse Game Plan and to catch and escalate issues early, as well as propose solutions and brainstorm on innovative ways to improve efficiencies. You will partner closely with Brand Merchants and Merchandising Planners, as a subject matter expert for key Converse processes and data points to drive cross-functional alignment, direction, communication, and consistency and accuracy in data analytics.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree or additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Strong team player
- Solution orientated
- Relevant experience in a Product, Merchandising, Retail or Buying role is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience should include knowledge of business/process industry standards
- Ability to learn quickly and evolve
- Ability to work independently, while balancing multiple priorities at once and meet tight deadlines
- Tolerance for ambiguity
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint (FlexPLM is a plus)
