Our Payroll Coordinators are responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related service, including recordkeeping and reporting. This position requires daily interaction with our health clubs, internal team members and requires strong communication skills. Payroll Coordinators reports directly to the Payroll Manager and will: Coordinate bi-weekly payroll for hourly, commissionable, and salaried associates. Import timekeeping data from Kronos, CSI, and Excel spreadsheets into Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains for processing Audit timecards to ensure accuracy of hours worked, overtime, proper backup documentation, etc. Review and calculate sales commissions for the company sales team Receive, respond to, and process Wage Assignments and court ordered garnishments, tax levies, and bankruptcies Ensures all federal, state, and local taxes are properly withheld Prints and mails checks by payroll deadline to ensure timely payment Coordinates the onboarding of company new hires Act as the associate's first point of contact, once a hiring decision has been made Review offer letters and compensation plans Send out welcome e-mails and collects back onboarding forms (I-9, W-4, etc.) Run background checks for all new associates Enter new hires into the payroll and timekeeping systems Conducts periodic audits of payroll and employee data Regularly reviews and tracks signed employee missed punch forms Collect and track employee timesheets Track payroll adjustments made outside the timekeeping systems Track leave accruals and expiration Completes and returns requests for employment / wage verifications. Address employee questions concerning pay and/or payroll deductions. Create / maintain electronic employee files Special projects as needed Our Payroll Coordinators: Have two or more years of processing payroll; multi-state experience preferred and health club experience is a plus Experience with time and attendance systems preferred Able to work both independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment Possess strong sense of urgency with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively with strong attention to detail Are highly organized with the ability to handle confidential information and consistently follow tasks through to completion Exercise good judgment and problem solving skills Must have strong customer service, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to handle, produce and maintain confidential information. Good communication skills and the ability to resolve issues timely.
