Description

As Associate General Counsel in our Integrated Marketplace group, you will support the NIKE Global Contracting Office's effort to drive innovation and productivity in drafting and negotiating a variety of different contract types across the company. This role will be an important piece of developing the future of the NIKE Legal department.

Your work will focus on our effort to standardize templates, clause libraries and playbooks around the globe. You will collaborate across the NIKE global legal ecosystem to build legal content and consistent contracting processes on an enterprise level. You will help us move faster, innovate faster and enhance productivity of our legal team by creating access to legal and department institutional knowledge through the organization and centralization of templates, standard clauses, playbooks, policies, processes, and other learnings. Strong drafting skills, identifying legal issues, building strong partnerships, forging alignment, providing analysis of legal risks, creating and implementing solutions structured to achieve business and legal department objectives efficiently will all be a part of success in this role.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • JD degree or equivalent
  • 4-6 years' experience in the practice of general business law with a focus on general commercial contracts
  • Strong contract drafting skills are a must
  • Strong bias for action and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent analytical, collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong team player and service-oriented attitude are a must
  • Understanding of the practical aspects of the practice of law
  • Experience in developing process excellence in contracting is a must
  • Experience in an in-house corporate legal department is preferred
  • Experience in international business transactions is a plus
  • A good command of foreign languages is a plus
