While Basketball Operations runs the league's on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world's most recognizable companies, oversee the licensing of NBA merchandise, and handle a wide range of responsibilities that drive the NBA's success.

Position Summary:

This position will help drive the digital strategy and business development of the NBA. The employee will primarily manage the relationship and coordination among the Global Content Media Distribution (GCMD), Marketing, NBA teams and regional offices among several others, in pursuit of each league's digital goals.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage execution of the NBA's digital goals
  • Based on digital marketplace dynamics, identify digital distribution opportunities for NBA content
  • Analyze and report digital data and insights for NBA digital initiatives
  • Provide weekly reporting and data-backed recommendations and innovation opportunities
  • Help manage relationships and communication with digital distribution platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Work within GCMD to ideate around and execute new digital content partnerships
  • Assist with digital business development and licensing deals


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Intimate knowledge of digital and social media platforms
  • Strong familiarity and knowledge of the NBA and other league properties
  • Familiarity with digital and social media analytics, listening and measurement tools
  • Exemplary analytical skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to work within demanding timeframes in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate communication across several groups
  • Experience with project management is preferred
  • Attention to detail, design and innovation
  • 2+ years of digital media experience


Education:

Bachelor's degree required
