The Procurement Analyst's primary responsibility is to assist the Indirect Sourcing team in reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) by conducting analysis on spend data and researching trends in relevant categories and markets. This role is responsible for providing research and data-driven insight to support category sourcing plans and supplier negotiation activities across multiple categories of indirect spend and ensuring the team has the information necessary to effectively deliver against its savings goals. As a part of the Procurement Operations team, the Procurement Analyst is also responsible for identifying system and process efficiencies as well while having a continuous improvement mindset.


  • Applies strong data analytic and research capabilities to help drive more informed sourcing and category decision making
  • Conduct research on economic and other trends in key categories and markets
  • Compile, analyze and present spend and market data from multiple sources
  • Establish efficient processes for managing requests and providing research/analysis support
  • Continually seek out new information sources that will provide relevant information on category trends and supplier landscapes
  • Maintain data and reporting on commodities or indices affecting key spend categories
  • Coordinate with Category Managers and sourcing team to provide data and financial analysis in support of large sourcing projects
  • Maintain procurement system reporting tools, build and curate reports library
  • Track KPIs and prepare monthly procurement performance and status reports


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
  • 3+ years of financial analysis experience required, research experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with procurement and sourcing preferred
  • Shows comfort with a broad range of research tools and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to build and present a story with data
  • Possesses strong skills in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Ability to synthesize information from diverse sources and present findings in a clear, concise fashion
  • Possesses a passion for finding information on new and innovative trends to relevant industries
  • Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
