Job Description
Oversee and coordinate all fundraising activities for the Osprey Club's annual giving efforts and serve as a critical member of the UNF Osprey Club staff, sharing significant responsibilities for the advancement of the Osprey Club's annual, major and planned giving development efforts. This position will serve as the departmental liaison to assigned volunteer groups, coaches and staff and will work to establish corporate relationships, provide stewardship to current donors, lead and develop strategic initiatives to increase donor engagement and giving as well as assist with major gift fundraising efforts. The Coordinator of Development will actively build a prospect pipeline of leadership donors, provide excellent customer service, maintain a culture of compliance and contribute to the overall success of the UNF Athletics department. This position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at designated off campus locations or place of residence.

Plan, coordinate and attend special events and fund raising programs to help support the UNF Athletic Department, including, but not limited to, Hospitality at select Athletics' events, the Athletic Directors' Reception, Fore Scholarships Golf Classic, Blue & Gray Bash, Hall of Fame Banquet, and The Ozzies student-athlete awards show.

Assist with Foundation Accounting, Advancement Operations, and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Associate AD of Development, Assistant VP of Advancement, and the Director of Athletics. Coordinate and communicate with other members of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to assist with the production of appropriate fundraising materials (brochures, letters, proposals and reports). Adheres to all institution, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Reports all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and guidelines. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.

A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.

Preference shown to applicants who meet the required qualifications and also possess the following:
- One or more years of progressively responsible experience in alumni relations, annual fund-raising, sales, and/or similar non-profit development or constituent outreach programs. - Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in annual giving, parent relations, alumni relations, and special events planning in Higher Education. - Knowledge of University mission, services, policies and procedures. - Knowledge of alumni and donor segmentation. - Detailed knowledge of and commitment to professional standards and practices. - Developed management and planning skills. - Computer literacy skills including knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as competence in word processing and database management, preferably including Raisers Edge. - Able to forge strong working relationships with others and a capacity for engaging confidence and trust among donors, alumni, parents and friends of the University of North Florida. - Strong communication, presentation and writing skills. - Ability to conduct personal solicitations and manage volunteers. - Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to balance and move forward multiple projects.
