The Brooks footwear creation process spans multiple teams, time zones, skill sets and disciplines. Our global team seeks a skilled Sr. Footwear Project Manager to contribute to Brooks' success by managing the footwear creation processes; from advanced development through delivery to market. In this role, you will lead multi-seasonal product creation initiatives, consistently driving successful outcomes through centralized ownership of project management and effective coordination across teams. This role manages the footwear creation processes including documentation, communication and progress monitoring/ reporting for our seasonal projects, goals and initiatives. You will develop master calendars, individual project plans and drive implementation, ensuring timelines and accountability are met across the organization. You will work cross functionally with each area of the business to ensure collaboration and will succeed by delivering to calendar timelines and ensuring efficient execution of footwear product creation and delivery. This role operates at a strategic level and requires a close partnership with business stakeholders. Responsibilities:
-Partner with the Director of Development and other key, cross functional stakeholders to create the master and seasonal process creation calendars, project plans and work streams. -Manages the successful implementation and execution of the product creation process through cross functional collaboration ensuring visibility to all stakeholders -Lead the product creation teams to efficiently and effectively meet our strategic brand and product goals and KPI's. -Manages documentation, communication and progress monitoring/ reporting for seasonal projects to project triads and leadership to promote adherence to seasonal calendars. -Leverages knowledge of project management to provide guidance and structure to project and resource planning processes. Acting as an agent for key timeline deliverables and decisions by proactively identifying and removing obstacles and escalating as appropriate. -Create, establish and maintain tracking tools and metrics for process, timelines, calendar and relevant deliverables with visibility for each department/ stakeholder. -Facilitates triad project meetings to formalize structure, problem solve and move the project forward while challenging and inspiring team members to achieve business results. -Manage multiple seasons at once, each with multiple products. -Identifies and exploits opportunities for process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness. -Ensure there are systems in place to capture cost/benefit comparisons and report actual benefits relative to intended benefits over the long term. -Maintain knowledge of internal and external practices related to project portfolio management, resource capacity planning and associated education and training programs. -Research, analyze, and evaluate new and emerging technologies, practices, and methodologies in support of project portfolio management. Consult with management to promote best practices and industry standards. -Oversee project portfolio and analysis of all proposed footwear innovation projects. Ensure all projects are executed based on established priorities. Develop capacity planning and project portfolio results to communicate to senior leaders in Footwear. Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree and 7+ years project and/or project & process management experience, including product development and manufacturing/operations processes. -Candidate must be willing to travel internationally up to 15% -Certifications in one or more project management disciplines such as PMP, Six Sigma, Agile/SCRUM, etc., preferred -Demonstrated understanding of the principles, standards and tools associated with business analysis, project management and process engineering -Ability to build and foster strong relationships across the organization, from individual contributors to senior management.
