Job Description

The Consumer Insights and Research team at the NFL manages market, audience, fan, and media research information for all divisions within the company. The goal of the department is to design, obtain, and analyze research that helps to understand and effectively grow the NFL brand, identify and grow fan segments, and develop new revenue opportunities.

As a Manager on the team, you will provide key support across all areas of the business to support the league and 32 NFL clubs. Your role will work closely with the International team across various functions, including Marketing, Strategy, Events and Commercial Development. This insights role will focus on brand health and fan perceptions, marketing and sponsorship effectiveness, and opportunity areas for growth and engagement with local and global fan bases.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Access and interpret data from a variety of syndicated and proprietary research sources including fan survey tracker data and consumer databases
  • Monitor and produce insights on NFL brand health across territories, including fandom, perceptions, and behavior (including trends, drivers, etc.)
  • Provide analysis on the impact of NFL strategic efforts, including marketing campaigns, events, and sponsorship activations
  • Identify custom research requests and opportunities, from scoping of initial needs through final presentation of results and insights to internal and external clients


  • 5+ years of experience with background in both Quant and Qual research
  • Proven experience in fielding custom/proprietary research, from RFP stage to project management to insights analysis
  • At least 1-2 years of managerial experience
  • Proficiency with data reporting tools, such as SPSS
  • Proficiency in syndicated tools, such as TGI
  • Ability to communicate in both presentation and data delivery/data visualization with clear, concise and easily digestible insights
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to deliver key findings to various internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong innovation skills with a hunger to try new and creative approaches to research
  • Solid organizational/time management skills; attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Self-motivated and self-directed; capable of working within tight deadlines; ability to work in fast-paced environment is essential
  • Strong leadership ability
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation
  • High level of initiative, energy & enthusiasm for learning
  • Approaches challenges with a solutions-driven attitude
