Team Edition Apparel, a division of Foot Locker, Inc, is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor. The normal working hours of this department is Mon - Fri, 5:30am - 2:30pm. Directly supervises employees in the Heat Seal department. This position is accountable for making decisions that affect the planning, scheduling, performance and results of department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must be consistently at work and on time and ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals. Balance team and individual responsibilities; give and welcome feedback; contribute to building a positive team spirit; put success of team above own interests; able to build morale; support everyone's efforts to succeed. Communicate to associates the goals and priorities of the team and department through daily contact and scheduled meetings. Work well with group problem solving situations. Be able to perform the activities of those supervised. Coordinate with other departments on priorities, approvals, schedule, etc. Monitor and maintain production worksheets with timely feedback regarding progress to team leaders and operators. Adjust procedures or methods as needed in order to meet production schedules. Take responsibility for subordinate's activities; make self available to staff; provide regular performance feedback; develop subordinate's skills and encourage growth. Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time. Edit time sheets for payroll. Record all attendance of associates, providing feedback to the office. Pro-actively ensure proper operation of all equipment in department. Ensure housekeeping and preventative machine maintenance occurs. Arrange for repairs as needed with maintenance. Any other assigned duties. QUALIFICATIONS
An ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience managing associates preferably in a manufacturing role. The ideal candidate will have a history of driving performance along with a strong organizational background. Bilingual with English and Spanish is a plus. Team Edition associates enjoy:
