The Tulsa Drillers are the Double A Affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers and play in a state of the art downtown stadium ONEOK Field. The Drillers were named the Texas League Organization of the year in 2014 & 2013, while also being named the Bob Freitas Double A Organization of the Year in 2013.In addition to the baseball club, the Drillers own & operate Tulsa Roughnecks FC at ONEOK Field. In 2016, the Roughnecks FC averaged 4,000+ fans per game, 8th highest total in the USL. Tulsa has a long and storied history in American soccer. The original Roughnecks played in the old NASL, drawing record crowds averaging 15,000 - 17,000 fans per game for the season. In 1983, the original Roughnecks won the Soccer Bowl, the first and only major sports championship for the city. Job DescriptionThe Tulsa Drillers and Tulsa Roughnecks FC are seeking a Graphic and Digital Media Assistant. This position assists the marketing and communications departments in the development, production and implementation of a wide range of graphic and digital media projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create club collateral including flyers, signage, schedules, print advertisements, splash pages, game programs etc. following brand guidelines
  • Develop cohesive design solutions for both print and digital applications
  • Create and edit graphics for owned (web, social, email) and purchased media (print, digital, and outdoor advertisements)
  • Conceptualize assets (photo, video, graphic, and copy) for crafting social media posts, web pages, and other forms of digital media
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of social media messaging
  • Create mock-ups for sponsorship proposals
  • Assist in creating and managing sponsor follow-up packages
  • Assist in the creation, management, archival, and retrieval of all graphic, photo, animation, and other digital assets
  • Assist external partners in the creation and implementation of cross-promotional projects
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to brainstorm ideas that contribute to the direction of marketing and content communication initiatives Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, marketing or similar field; or 1 year of experience in a graphics design/social media role (internship experience or portfolio school attendance will be considered)
  • Deep understanding of design techniques and production processes for mixed media campaigns
  • Strong typography and layout skills
  • Experience with social media management tools
  • Previous experience working in a collegiate or professional sports environment
  • General knowledge of baseball and/or soccer
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends in accordance with team schedules
  • An ability to multi-task while staying organized
  • Working knowledge of Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Lightroom)
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines and contribute to achieving marketing and business goals
  • Ability to work independently and as a team meeting critical deadlines and achieving business goals Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous MiLB/USL experience
  • Knowledge of website CMS (SportsEngine and MiLB Homebase) Strong copywriting ability
