As a global sports and media business, the NBA is so much more. While Basketball Operations runs the league's on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world's most recognizable companies, oversee the licensing of NBA merchandise, and handle a wide range of responsibilities that drive the NBA's success.

Global Media Distribution manages relationships with the NBA's domestic and international television and digital media partners. The group oversees the distribution of NBA, WNBA, NBA G League and USA Basketball games and programming content in more than 200 countries and territories. The content is circulated in more than 40 different languages, reaching millions of households worldwide. Candidate will be a key supporter for various projects, initiatives, and multi-disciplinary coordination across all business lines. Responsibilities will include data reporting, evaluation of current and proposed partnerships and a broad range of strategic and financial analysis.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and quantitative analytical support across all Global Media Distrubution (GMD) departments
  • Manage and be responsible for functions and products for multi-disciplinary working groups
  • Lead fact-based modeling efforts for a range of business initiatives
  • Be a key contributor in structuring and analyzing deals
  • Perform research across diverse categories
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of internal and external constituents
  • Develop presentations and other supporting materials/analyses for Senior Management and Board meetings
  • Maintain/develop processes to improve the department's operational efficiency


Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Outstanding quantitative, financial, research, modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance and basic accounting
  • Teamwork skills and flexibility
  • Experience working and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently within set objectives
  • The right candidate will be able to explain, and where needed, defend her/his analysis both verbally and in writing


Experience Needed

  • Minimum 2-3 years investment banking, private equity, consulting firm, or media corporate finance experience from top-tier company/firm(s)
  • Strong facility and familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word


Educational Background Required

  • BA/BS degree required
