STAPLES Center's sixteen years have also been marked with performances and special events that brought international stature to the downtown Los Angeles venue including concerts Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Prince U2, Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Usher, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Keith Urban, Roger Waters, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Sade and Justin Timberlake, as well as world championship boxing, family shows and special events. Hosting over 250 events a year, the arena's reputation for world-class amenities, features and commitment to quality of service and the guest experience is second to none. Staples, Inc. entered into a 20-year agreement to become the arena's Naming Rights Partner December 1, 1998, which has since been extended into perpetuity.

Job Summary:

The Ticket Operations Coordinator will provide clerical, administrative, and "Day of Game" support for the Ticket Operations department under the general direction of Ticket Operations management. He/she will work during regular office hours and/or event hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Duties:

  1. Process tasks and ticket orders using AXS ticketing software. Coordinate and execute all ticket mailings and will call printing.
  2. Process payments and manage payment plans for contracted, event suite and Hyde Lounge clientele.
  3. Prepare deposit reports and other reports as requested
  4. Work game day operations for home games and special events; troubleshoot as necessary; fulfill last minute ticket requests.
  5. Continuously identify and suggest processing efficiencies for sales and ticket operations.
  6. Assist in building STAPLES Center offers for the Event Suite Sales team
  7. Update and maintain the collections, payment plan and guest pass grids

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

  1. A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree Preferred)
  2. A minimum of 2-4 years of related work experience, with at least one year experience utilizing ticketing software
  3. Highly organized, resourceful, detailed-oriented, quick learner
  4. Ability to work under pressure of a fast-paced operation and under time constraints
  5. Ability to handle large sums of money utilizing prescribed cash management controls and day-to-day tasks concurrently
  6. Ability to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly and react to difficult situations appropriately
  7. Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  8. Ability to interact and communicate effectively and in a professional, diplomatic and mature manner not only with clients and guests, but with co-workers within the organization
  9. Excellent guest and client service capabilities
  10. Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
  11. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to learn required business systems
  12. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with AXS ticketing software
  2. Background in Sports/Entertainment/Hospitality industry
