To work closely with both the Director and Coordinator of Arizona Operations on all aspects of daily operations as they relate to the Spring Training Season at the Cleveland Indians Development Complex General Responsibilities Foster relationships with local vendors for various needs during the Spring Training Season. Assist the Operations Staff in planning of special events related to community relations, sponsors, player appearances and season ticket holders. Work closely with the Operations Staff to execute promotional days at Goodyear Ballpark. Secure temporary permits for various seasonal needs at the Cleveland Indians Development Complex. Provide facility tours of the Cleveland Indians Development Complex for VIP's and vendors as needed. Indirectly supervise the Facility Security Personnel, such as create weekly schedule and collect timesheets. Foster relationships with City of Goodyear employees, Ballpark Staff, Professional Sports Catering and all other parties involved with the Spring Training Operation. Assist with preparations for the arrival of the Cleveland Staff for the Spring Training Season. Support and work closely with the AZ Operations Assistant on duties such as, front desk coverage, maintaining package logs, answering incoming calls, coordinating mascot appearances and proper visitor credentials/access, etc. All other various duties as assigned by the Director of Arizona Operations. Requirements, Education & Experience Computer knowledge including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Previous experience in an operations environment and the sports industry preferred. Standard Requirements Reads, speaks, comprehends and communicates English effectively in all communications. Represents the Cleveland Indians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public. Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationship with members of the Front Office. Ability to act according to the organizational values and service excellence at all times. Ability to work with multicultural populations and have a commitment to fairness and equality. Ability to walk, sit or stand for an entire shift. Ability to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends. Ability to move throughout all areas and levels of the Ballpark. Ability to work in a diverse and changing environment. Occasional physical activity such as lifting and carrying boxes up to 55 lbs.
