The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for the execution and development of content across all customer facing websites and digital touch-points. This person will work cross-functionally with design, initiatives, brand, marketing, and merchandising to ensure the website is updated with the promotional content, banners, and brand imagery to drive sales and provide a premium customer experience by performing the following main duties: Responsibilities Develop and edit all site content within content management tool, including featured content on homepage, landing pages and grid pages Read, understand, and edit HTML and CSS to make quick updates to site content in a fast-paced setting Manage all site content updates, ensuring that site content meets required specifications, supports Marketing and Merchandising needs and meets customer expectations Work within site calendars to manage daily content changes Collaborate with digital merchandisers, brand managers, and design team to ensure timely asset delivery Lead continuous process improvement and innovation to streamline site content operations Work in internal project management tool to collect site assets and push deadlines Manages content assets within internal image management system Work as a liaison within digital content team to ensure sites have timely, relevant content that appeals to our customers Contribute to creation and development of new site content experiences that encourage commerce Perform site content audits and help maintain and facilitate content removals Help drive optimization in site content through testing and analysis of campaigns to deliver better converting content across all digital touch-points. Support Finish Line's key product stories by creating and maintaining product content throughout the product purchase funnel. Continuously seek to improve the online and interactive content by researching and staying ahead of new innovative solutions and capabilities, key competitor actions, industry trends, and emerging customer and market needs. Additional duties and projects as required. Minimum Requirements Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience required, with Business, Merchandising, Communications preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years relevant work experience required in ecommerce or web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) with business acumen. Experience in content management (CMS) tools and back-end systems is preferred. Knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus. Previous experience using ATG/Oracle Commerce platforms is highly preferred. Experience in multi-vendor retailing is a plus. Required Computer and/or Technical Skills Excellent computer skills, including basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Is internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital commerce and media trends. Core Competencies: Communication Skills Must be an effective communicator with internal and external individuals at all levels. This includes spoken, written, electronic, and presentation skills. Must be highly motivated and enjoy a fast paced work environment. Communication should be consistently constructive and professional. Must be a good team player. Uses specialized knowledge to go beyond the routine to solve complex problems that frequently affect areas beyond own functional area.
