Our Gateshead based client is looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant into their growing finance function. The major objectives include processing payroll accurately and efficiently. As well as creating and maintaining employee payroll information to ensure people are paid correct and on time.

Client Details

The Gateshead based Payroll Assistant sits within a well known, global business.


The main duties of the Gateshead based Payroll Assistant are;

Working with Payroll Manager and wider Finance and HR teams to ensure people are paid right and at the right time.
Processing multiple payrolls across the World with multiple payment elements
Payroll Analysis
Complete P11D's
Data entry (attention to detail is a must)
Maintaining our payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
Onboarding process - adding new colleagues to the system
Offboarding process - following leaver process and ensuring final pays are calculated correctly
Calculating employee take-home pay-based information from our inhouse CRM system.
Answering colleague questions about wages, deductions, tax codes and pensions
Working with other department to ensure any changes are processed correctly.
Identify, investigates, and resolves discrepancies with payroll records
Completes payroll reports for record-keeping purposes and for managerial review
Complete year end processProfile

The successful Gateshead based payroll assistant will have;

Excellent understanding of pay and payroll legislation
Experience in a payroll role
Sage 50 Experience is essential
Experience with company pension accounts
Microsoft experience, particularly Excel skills
Organised with excellent time-management skills.
Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
Able to prioritise and multitask effectively.Job Offer
