Subway is looking to expand our Digital Marketing team with an innovative Senior Manager, Digital Analytics & Testing who will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing innovative digital analytics and reporting for Subway.com, our mobile app, rewards and remote order programs. The successful candidate will identify opportunities for improvement and provide data-driven strategic insights, to maximize customer conversions and ecommerce revenue. The Senior Manager, Digital Analytics and Testing also serves as the subject matter expert for web and digital marketing analytics tools, A/B and multivariate testing tools, ecommerce testing tools, and the tag management platform. This role will report to the Director of CRM & Ecommerce.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead team analysts in delivering regular reporting and insights, ad hoc analytics, tag management, and on-site testing capabilities
  • Design and manage advanced analytical solutions and analyze and provide data-driven insights related to navigation behaviors, website usability, data traffic patterns, key site traffic funnels, acquisition patterns, order volume, conversion funnel and product selection, to improve site navigation, increase customer satisfaction, optimize conversions, and reduce transaction abandonment.
  • Manage Testing/Optimization team. Oversee measurement strategy and optimization efforts including A/B testing, multivariate testing, persona management, performance analysis, display, and remarketing. Lead efforts to operationalize measurement strategies and tools; developing scorecards, reports for senior management, and benchmark performance reviews
  • Partner with CRM/email teams to define digital marketing attribution requirements
  • Participate in website and CRM projects as measurement expert, identifying reporting requirements, monitoring the reporting implementation of evaluating pre- and post- launch metrics
  • Partner with Subway Digital Directors to establish clear evaluation criteria and KPIs, analyzing qualitative and quantitative information to deliver actionable insights in a consumer marketing context
  • Collaborate and partner with product, marketing, digital and business teams across the Subway business to enhance the customer engagement by improving campaigns and developing new marketing programs
  • Analyze and evaluate merchandising, product placements, creative placements, and up-sell/cross-sell affinities to ensure best-in-class merchandise presentation and to increase average order value.
  • Manage and provide work direction to the 3rd party vendors

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Sciences, or related field, required
  • MBA or higher degree a plus

Required Knowledge:

  • Perceived as a Subject Matter Expert in Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture Site Catalyst or other Tag Management Platforms, and large-scale A/B and Multivariate testing tools
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Marketing Cloud tools including Analytics, Target, DTM, and Audience Manager
  • Strong understanding of Digital Marketing and ecommerce strategy and design
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of HTML, a plus

Experience Required:

  • 8- 10 years of Digital Analytics experience
  • Experience in developing segmentation and data-driven strategies to drive customer-marketing activities.
  • Experience in the QSR, Retail or related industry a plus
  • Extensive analytics background with solid understanding of website best practices, ecommerce and digital marketing principles, measurements, and consumer behavior
  • Experience with tag management tools
  • Experience with multivariate or A/B testing tools
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Ability to drive customer insights to optimize marketing campaigns and digital experiences
  • Ability to evaluate concepts and present recommendations to senior leadership
  • Experience in paid digital marketing channels and ad tech
