Java Back End Developer (oracle)

Software Engineer vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.

Your tasks:

• Developing software components as defined by the systems development life cycle
• Testing unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
• Supporting the Software Component Manager in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
• Making sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before handover to the Software Component Manager
• Managing versions of software artifacts

Your experience/knowledge:

• 8+ years of working experience as Software Engineer or in a similar role
• Experience with large-scale enterprise and object-oriented design
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing, low-latency and multithreaded solutions
• Expertise in emerging code and test- and behavior-driven development
• Knowledge in management and garbage collection

Your soft skills:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
• Comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
